Overview

Cinellama is a browser extension and web app that lets you watch movies in sync with friends. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how it is stored.

Data We Collect

• Your email address and username, provided when you create an account.
• Your Supabase authentication token, used to identify you in watch sessions and group activity.
• Group membership and watch session data you create or participate in.
• Chat messages sent within watch sessions.

How We Use Your Data

• To authenticate you and maintain your session across the web app and browser extension.
• To sync playback state with other members of your watch group in real time.
• To display your username to other members of your groups.

Data Storage

Your user ID, username, and authentication token are stored locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local. This data does not leave your device except to authenticate requests to our backend (Supabase). Group and session data is stored in our Supabase database.

Third Parties

We use Supabase as our backend and database provider. We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to any other third parties.

Data Deletion

You can delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at jayskrobola14@gmail.com. Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data from your device.
